Snippets: Its existence tracks back to 1600 century, it was known to guard the japanese royalty. Akita was introduced in america by a lady Helen Keller after she expressed her desire to have one to the japanese(they held her in high esteem).after world war 2 more akitas were brought to america by japanese soldiers. An american called Thomad Boyd had the first akita stud tht sired puppies in america. They are so fearless that theres a story tht in a zoo the tiger cub had lost his parents and to comfort it the zoo officials introduced akita to it. The cub learnt and found a playmate in the akita. akita being fearless was not scared and the fur was so thick that it was in no harm of getting clawed by the cub. However the akita was eventually removed once cub neared adulthood while akita grew old.
