Snippets: In the mid 1970s an Alaskan woman Linda Spurlin and her husband visited her husband"s family this dog was one of those that they had. Linda felt totally in love with the dog and received permission to bring it back with them to Alaska. On the way back they stopped at a restaurant to eat. When they got inside they saw everyone inside was by the window out looking out at the cute little dog in Linda"s car. This dog was named Curious and she was the foundation of the breed that Linda was to create. Linda"s brother-in-law lived near them and he and his family were also instrumental in creating the Klee Kai. They stopped breeding and handed the dogs they had over to Linda. Linda started out simply trying to re-create Curious. Her best friend that lives near Linda had a visit that changed the course of history. This visitor was Eileen Gregory And she fell totally in love with the dogs that Linda had. Eileen told others and soon there was a constant stream of visitors to Alaska just to look at these dogs. When Linda Stopped breeding the Klee Kai her dogs went to Eileen. Soon others started breeding them too but still this breed is very rare
