Snippets: This breed had become extinct if it wasn"t for efforts of John D. Johnson of Summerville, Georgia. After Johnson returned from World war-II. He was disappointed to find that, like the English Mastiff, this breed too was extinct. He then decided to gather the best specimens he could find from across the rural South in an effort to bring it back from the brink of extinction. and its only due to his effort that this breed exists today.
The owners need to have paperwork intact to show this is not dangerous breed.
